Asustek Showcases New Laptops with Core i3, i5, i7 CPUs

N61Asustek showcases new laptop models at the ongoing 2010 CES Show: the affordable mainstream Asus K series, entertainment-oriented Asus N series, the U Series Bamboo Collection, and a G series gaming laptop.
The notebooks include the latest Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 dual-core and i7 quad-core processors, the latest ATI and NVIDIA dedicated video cards in select models, Windows 7 OS, and optional support for the new USB 3.0 standard, “up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0″.
The Asus K Series now feature the 14-inch K42, 15.6-inch K52 and 17.3″ K72, all with the Core i3 or i5 CPUs, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, Intel’s GMA HD integrated graphics and optional ATI Radeon 5470 1GB dedicated GPU, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The K42 and K52 have up to 500GB hard drives, whereas the K72 comes with up to 1TB of storage using two 500GB HDDs.
Asustek’s latest N Series include the N61 16-inch models, featuring the Core i3, i5 and i7 quad CPUs, the Radeon 5730 1GB or NVIDIA GeForce GT 325M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB of HDD storage, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo.
The new U Series Bamboo Collection models, with cases partially made of bamboo, are the 13.3-inch U33, 14″ U83, and 15.6″ U53. The U33 comes with a Core i7 dual-core ultra-low voltage processor, whereas the U83 and U53 come with the standard-voltage i3 and i5. Select models have a switchable graphics solution, combining the Intel GMA HD integrated chip and GeForce 310M 1GB dedicated card. The hard drive storage and RAM are up to 640GB and 4GB, respectively, while the available optical drive options are also a DVD burner or a Blu-ray combo drive.
Finally, the ASUS ROG G73Jh gaming notebook sports a 17.3″ full HD display, a Core i7 quad-core processor, the ATI Radeon HD5870 1GB enthusiast-class video card, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, dual 500GB hard drives, and a Blu-ray combo drive.
The notebooks are not available in the US yet.
