Wi-Fi + 3G versions of the Apple iPad tablet are now available for pre-order and will ship by May 7th.
3G mobile broadband connectivity is provided by AT&T, offering two monthly data plans for iPad users: 250MB or Unlimited. The data plans include unlimited access to over 20,000 Wi-Fi hotspots.
iPad Wi-Fi + 3G buyers are not required to sign a contract with AT&T. They can sign up and change the data plans right on the iPad and are not required to purchase any data plan if they buy an iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G.Apple’s 3G-enabled 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB tablets are priced at $629, $729, and $829, respectively.
The AT&T 250MB/month data plan costs $14.99, whereas the Unlimited plan is $29.99 per month.
