Sager NP8690 Core i7 Gaming Laptop Launched

Sager has launched the NP8690, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop that features the Intel Core i7 Mobile processor.
Advertised as “the world’s most powerful 15.6″ gaming notebook”, the Intel “Callpela”-based system includes the Intel Core i7-720QM, i7-820QM, or i7-920XM CPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 1,333MHz memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive.
Sager NP8690Display options include 1920×1080- and 1600×900-pixel screens, both with LED backlight.
The 7,4-pound laptop also sports stereo speakers and microphone, a 2MP webcam, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, a Gigabit LAN port, a 56k modem, HDMI and DVI outputs, four USB ports, an eSATA port, Firewire, an ExpressCard slot, a 7-in-1 media card reader, and a fingerprint reader.
The Sager NP8690 runs Windows XP or Windows Vista OS.
It can be pre-ordered now for a base price of $1,789 and will start shipping in October.
