The Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q860, X505-Q870 and X505-Q880 are the new X505 18.4-inch gaming laptop models with the Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors and the latest NVIDIA’s graphics.
Toshiba currently offers three Qosmio X505 models: the Intel Core i5-430M powered X505-Q860, and the Intel Core i7-720QM based X505-Q870 and X505-Q880. All models feature the NVIDIA GeForce GTS360M 1GB GDDR5 gaming-class video card. The X505-Q860 and X505-Q870 come with 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive, and a display resolution of 1680×945 pixels, whereas the X505-Q880 ships with 6GB or RAM, a 64GB solid state drive plus a 500GB HDD, and a full HD 1920×1080 display.The X505-Q860 has a DVD burner, while the X505-Q870 and X505-Q880 include a Blu-ray Combo drive and Bluetooth. The notebooks include a keyboard with backlight and numeric pad, a web camera with microphone, stereo speakers, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a Gigabit LAN port, HDMI and VGA outputs, three standard USB connectors and an eSATA/USB combo port, an ExpressCard slot, Firewire, and a media card reader.
The Qosmio X505 series weighs around 10 pounds with the standard 12-cell battery and sports a black Fusion Finish.
The X505-Q860, X505-Q870 and X505-Q880 run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS and cost $1,199.99, $1,499.99 and $1,899.99 respectively at the Toshiba online store.
