Asustek will soon be releasing the ASMobile Z84Jp 17-inch widescreen barebone (whitebox) laptop built on Intel 945PM chipset supporting Intel Core 2 Duo processors, and up to 4GB of main memory. The new Asus whitebox features Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 graphics card with 512MB of VRAM, according to Notebook Review forums.It looks like the Asus’ ASMobile Z84Jp is a multimedia oriented notebook, since it has four speakers plus a sub-woofer, and both S-Video and HDMI out. Along with a 2MP built-in web camera, Z84Jp’s novelty is an eSATA connector, for fast connection with external Serial-ATA drives.
The Z84Jp weighs 8.8lbs and has a piano-black finish.
